Q: How do you make movies from Performer?

I am using OpenGL Performer version 3.0 and I want to be able to make like a 20 or 30 second mpeg from the output from Performer. It says theat VRJuggler can create this video, but I am now sure how to do it. Thank you.

A: VR Juggler does not provide features for doing this. Video recording hardware is necessary.

You could use video recording equipment to capture the frames of some application (running at a sufficiently low resolution) and transfer the digital recording into an MPEG or whatever. VR Juggler does not provide any features for doing this, however. It's more a matter of having the right wiring and recording equipment. Essentially, anything of a frame-based nature can be turned into MPEG video.
